MAJOR CONSULTANCY ASSIGNMENTS
Business
Promoter has completed a number of consultancy
projects ranging from three (3) days to
one hundred twenty (120) working days duration.
Most of the projects were in the areas of
research, marketing, development of Human
Resources Management and development policies
and procedures, conditions of service etc.
Some major consultancy projects are listed
below:
- 1996
– Business Promoter developed “Conditions
of Service”, a policies and procedures
manual with implementation tools for Thusano
Lefatsheng Trust.
- 1997 –
Business Promoter undertook consultancy
on “Institutional Reform and Restructuring”
for Thusano Lefatsheng Trust.
- 1998 -
Business Promoter evaluated Private Sector
Initiative/ Molaletsa Project of UNICEF,
Botswana.
- 2002 -
Business Promoter compiled a country report
on Textile Sector for International Trade
Centre, Geneva, in collaboration with BOCCIM.
- 2003 -
Business Promoter conducted a research for
International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva
in the area of capacity building among SMMEs
in Botswana, Trade in Service Institutions
(TISs) and governments to promote exports
of “services” from Botswana
and produced a research report.
- 2004 -
Business Promoter facilitated training workshops
on Governance and Management for NGOs Leaders,
Development of capacity for strategic planning,
and Building leadership capacity of NGOs
in project implementation in collaboration
with Junior Chamber, Botswana for Botswana
Council of NGOs (BOCONGO) sponsored by African
Development Foundation.
- 2004/5
- Business Promoter developed a Marketing
Strategy for the Botswana National Productivity
Centre (BNPC) including consultancy report
on Restructuring and Setting up of its Marketing
Department; and handholding the department
to kick-start implementation of the Marketing
Strategy.
- 2005 -
Business Promoter facilitated participatory
strategic planning workshop and developed
a three-year Strategic Plan for Botswana
Musicians Union (BOMU) under sponsorship
of the Department of Culture and Youth,
Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs (MLHA).
- 2006 –
Business Promoter accomplished Consultancy
for Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and
HIV/AIDS (BONELA) to Review the Feasibility
of Placing People Living with HIV/AIDS with
private sector businesses and organisations.
- 2007 –
Business Promoter developed bankable business
plans for Garment Clusters as a Pilot Project
under Poverty Reduction Programme of the
Government of Botswana and the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP).
- 2007 –
Business Promoter was part of a consortium
of consultants led by Eurecna Srl International
Services, Italy for a consultancy project
of Local Enterprise Authority of Botswana
(LEA) to transform and convert five existing
Estate Centres in Pilane, Francistown and
Gaborone into viable business incubation
centres for agriculture, hospitality and
tourism, and manufacturing of leather products
and light engineering.
- 2008 –
Business Promoter accomplished a consultancy
of LEA, Gaborone on Impact Assessment of
LEA Training on Entrepreneurial Development
Of Botswana During 2007/8 (Consolidation
and Analysis of Post Training Reports)
